Grinding

Grinding is an operation that is part of the fabric finishing process: it consists of sanding the surface of a fabric to obtain the peach skin effect. Change the hand giving a velvety appearance to the surface, slightly hiding the weave of the weft and the warp. It is applied to pieces of finished fabrics obtained with textile fibers of various types, both synthetic and natural, rarely of wool.
